COVID-19 – Latest Update on 4-Balls

Following new COVID-19 guidance from Scottish Golf, from today (12 March) 4-balls will be allowed with players from four different households.

The important parts to take note of are:

  • Golf courses with a designated COVID Officer can permit organised golf for members who live within the local authority area. Play can take place in 4-balls with no restrictions on the number of households.
  • Golf courses without a designated COVID Officer, or where members are crossing a local authority boundary to play, can remain open for play with a maximum of four players from two households.
  • Royal Dornoch satisfy these conditions and can accept play in 4-balls from members of four different households who live in the Highland Council area.

Please note that the information uses the word ‘Members’ and so there will be no change to conditions relating to Members Guests, Reciprocal Rounds or Visitor Play and these will continue not to be available.
