Nashville based artist Aimee Smith Unveils Royal Dornoch Painting

 

Nashville based artist Aimee Smith brought the first in a series of paintings planned for Royal Dornoch Golf Club from the USA to the Highlands.

She was welcomed to the club by captain Willie MacKay (left) and general manager Neil Hampton.

Aimee focused on the famed 14th hole on the Championship Course, “Foxy,” for her initial landscape oil painting, with more to follow.

“The visit to Dornoch was incredible,” said Aimee.

“We lucked out with golden sunrises for reference photos for future paintings. I’m looking forward to getting back in the studio to get started on the next painting.”
