AIMEE’S HIGHLAND TRIP INSPIRED SUNRISE PAINTING
AMERICAN landscape artist Aimee Smith’s latest painting of Royal Dornoch Golf Club sold within 24 hours of applying the finishing touches.
Hard on the heels of capturing the famous 14th hole, named “Foxy,” Nashville-based Aimee’s “Sunrise at Royal Dornoch” immediately caught the eye of a buyer.
Her striking 36″ x 48″oil on canvas was influenced by a visit to the Highland golf club earlier this year.
“The sun rises were spectacular during our trip to the Highlands and I couldn’t wait to get back into the studio,” said Aimee.
“I decided to try and capture an unusual but breath-taking sunrise view of the 7th hole, surrounded by the 8th, 9th and 10th.
“I was thrilled when it sold so quickly. A limited edition giclee print will be released on November 25.
“If any member missed out on the purchase of this painting, rest assured the next one is already in the planning stage.”
