A MEMORABLE HIGHLAND FLING

MORE and more golfers are discovering the joys of golfing in the Highlands of Scotland.

While the links at Royal Dornoch Golf Club enjoy a reputation as one of the world’s finest natural challenges, visitors are also encouraged to extend their stay and savour some of the other wonderful courses the region has to offer.

“Golf Today” is the latest magazine to help spread the word.

Their intrepid team rented a rugged Land Rover Defender to ferry them, and the clubs, from Inverness airport to the spectacular nine-hole course at Durness clinging onto the rugged northwest coast, with several other halts teed-up on a memorable autumnal sojourn to the Highlands.

Their article, as much a colourful travelogue as a golfing adventure, is well worth a read as they take-in Reay, Dornoch and Brora en route back to Inverness and the flight south.

We are sure they will be back to sample even more of the marvellous golf courses the Highland has to offer.
