WOLFGANG FLIES THE FLAG FOR ROYAL DORNOCH

HE’S covered golf from every angle and teed-up in more than 60 countries around the world on his travels.

He has even enjoyed the privilege of experiencing Augusta National twice in his career while covering The Masters.

But leading German golf writer Wolfgang Scheffler is in no doubt which golf course has found a special place in his heart.

Wolfgang, who became a sports writer for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in 1980, has been invited to be a regular contributor to two online platforms in Germany, one being a golf online platform called Main.Golf.

In a welcome to the editorial team, Wolfgang was asked If he only had one round left, where would he make for with his clubs?

He didn’t have to think twice – Royal Dornoch Golf Club would be his choice.

Wolfgang is also contributing golf articles to online platform Kulinariker.De which specializes in luxury travel, food and lifestyle.

He and his wife Helma (pictured), a communications company managing director, are regular visitors to the Highlands and are always eager to fly the flag for Royal Dornoch in Germany and beyond.
