SUPPORTING OUR ARMED FORCES

ROYAL Dornoch Golf Club is proud to profile Reserves Day, which forms part of the wider Armed Forces Week.

Last year, we were delighted to receive the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award at a ceremony held in Perth.

Silver Award holders “demonstrate their support for defence, including actively communicating and upholding a positive stance to their employees via established HR policies and procedures.”

Reservists are prepared to give up their time and it’s recognised that supportive employers also have an important role to play in strengthening the country’s defence.

The diverse range of skills developed in the service of their country by employees can also benefit businesses large and small.

Royal Dornoch’s general manager Neil Hampton said: “We are proud to support and promote Armed Forces Week and, like so many businesses, we recognise the important contribution Reservists make to our Armed Forces at home and abroad.”

In 2019, Royal Dornoch signed the Armed Forces Covenant recognising the value of serving personnel, Reservists, veterans and their families, the sacrifices they make, and the contribution being made to the Highland community and the country.
