MORE KUDOS ON THE SUSTAINABILITY FRONT 

EOIN Riddell and his greenkeeping team at Royal Dornoch have given sustainability priority status for many years. 

Their sterling work on the Championship Course and the Struie Course has not gone unnoticed further afield. 

The club has been shortlisted in the “Sustainability” category in The Golf Awards 2024, in addition to being among the candidates for “Scotland: Golf Course of the Year” at a ceremony lined-up for The Shard in London on December 5. 

“Eoin and the team have been attracting deserved recognition – and awards – for their wide-ranging work on the sustainability front,” said general manager Neil Hampton. 

Royal Dornoch has teamed-up with various environmental and educational groups, including Green Shores, St Andrews University, NatureScot and Dornoch Academy, to preserve and enhance the salt marshes on the Dornoch Firth shoreline.
