DATES REVEALED FOR 2028 CURTIS CUP

THE R&A has announced the dates for the Curtis Cup being hosted at Royal Dornoch.

The top women amateur golfers from GB and Ireland and the USA will go head-to-head over the Championship Course from Friday, September 1 to Sunday, September 3, 2028.

General manager Neil Hampton, who was part of a team which took in a fact-finding visit to this year’s event in Los Angeles, which resulted in a 13-7 win for the hosts, said: “Everyone involved with the club is looking forward to welcoming such a prestigious tournament to the Highlands in 2028.

“With the dates confirmed well in advance, I’m sure many golf fans will be keen to firm-up bookings for accommodation and meals in Dornoch and the wider area.

“I would imagine many of them will be keen to enjoy a longer break in the area and enjoy all that the Highlands has to offer, and build their visit around the golf tournament.

“Visiting golfers and supporters can be guaranteed a very warm welcome out on the course and in the local community.

“The 2028 Curtis Cup will follow hard on the heels of next year’s 150th anniversary celebrations at the club.”
