COLIN TAKES OVER THE CAPTAINCY REINS

LONG-TIME member and vice-captain Colin MacKay has followed on from close friend Gary Bethune as club captain at Royal Dornoch.

The Tain-based financial advisor was welcomed into the role by members attending the annual general meeting held at Dornoch Academy.

Colin is looking forward to representing the club as it prepares to celebrate the 150th anniversary next year, with the Curtis Cup being hosted in 2028.

“Being appointed captain of Royal Dornoch is an absolute honour and a huge privilege,” said Colin, who paid warm tribute to outgoing captain Gary for the first-class way he represented Royal Dornoch during a term in office which included the curtain coming down on the old clubhouse and the move into its well-received successor.
