Royal Dornoch Golf Club and the Royal Burgh of Dornoch celebrate 400 years of golf being played on the links from 1616. 

Amongst a year-long calendar of events, Royal golf clubs from around the world converge on Dornoch to celebrate the occasion. 

A time capsule, to be opened in 100 years’ time is buried under the path from the 18th green following the traditional New Year’s Day match “East o’ the Burn v West o’ the Burn”.
