THE countdown has begun to the PGA Show 2024.
General manager Neil Hampton and retail manager Brad Smith will be flying the flag for Royal Dornoch Golf Club at the Orange County Convention Centre in Orlando, Florida from January 24-26.
Their diary is filling up for the high-profile trade show, which profiles more than 1000 leading brands, including golf travel specialists, clothing retailers and organisations from the tech world.
The Royal Dornoch duo will be based at stand 3773 under the “Scotland: The Home of Golf” banner in the venue’s West Concourse travel pavilion.
“We are delighted to be teaming up with VisitScotland at this prestigious event,” said Neil.
“The North American market has become hugely important for Royal Dornoch and, indeed, the economy of the Highlands, in recent decades.
“This is an ideal opportunity to maintain the profile of a golf club now ranked regularly among the very best in the world.
“As an associate partner, we will have an opportunity to speak directly to key players in the golf tourism sector.”
Royal Dornoch is among 16 businesses promoting Scotland at the PGA Show.
While legendary golf course architect and Dornoch native Donald Ross always forms part of any conversation in the USA, VisitScotland will also seize the opportunity to celebrate National Bard, Robert Burns, on the 25th.
On the US theme, The Dawson in New York is the venue for the January 20 annual members’ dinner being attended by club captain Professor David Bell and on the 23rd, American-based members of Royal Dornoch have an opportunity to get together in Orlando at the Grand Lakes Course at the Ritz Carlton.
